Ready to get your hands dirty upgrading the backbone of a client s wireless network?
iSphere is seeking tech-savvy, boots-on-the-ground Wireless Access Point Technicians for a multi-site infrastructure refresh across North Dallas. If you love turning wrenches and working with enterprise-grade gear, this contract gig is your perfect mix of physical and technical.
Over the next 6 months (and likely beyond), you ll play a key role in removing legacy wireless access points and installing new, cutting-edge equipment across the client s locations. You don t need to be a network architect but you should be able to mount hardware, run cables neatly, troubleshoot basic connectivity issues, and speak fluently with on-site staff.
What You ll Be Doing:

Install & Replace Access Points: Safely remove old equipment and install new wireless APs based on site schematics and floorplans

Support Network Upgrades: Help prepare facilities for modern enterprise Wi-Fi environments no configurations needed, but you ll interface with the team that does

Conduct Basic Site Surveys: Confirm hardware placement for optimal signal coverage and performance

Troubleshoot on the Fly: Address physical connectivity or signal issues quickly and effectively during installations

Document Everything: Record installation steps, asset tags, and any site-specific notes for the central project team

Collaborate & Communicate: Work with project managers, client IT staff, and facility managers to keep everyone informed and installations running smoothly

Maintain Best Practices: Ensure installs are clean, secure, and compliant with safety and industry standards
What You Bring:

Prior experience installing, replacing, or maintaining wireless access points, switches, or structured cabling

Basic knowledge of networking hardware (routers, switches, APs) and wireless protocols

Strong troubleshooting instincts with a knack for identifying interference or poor signal issues

Familiarity with site surveys and signal heat mapping (a plus)

Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and site layouts

Excellent communication and time management skills

A self-starter mindset you re organized, resourceful, and not afraid to climb a ladder when needed

Your own reliable transportation to travel between client locations (mileage reimbursed)

Comfortable with physical work: standing, lifting, climbing, and moving equipment
