Client Industry: Commercial Multi-Site Environment
Location: Multiple Facilities Throughout Dallas
Travel: Required to various client sites across the metroplex
Type: Contract (12+ Months)

Ready to get your hands dirty upgrading the backbone of a client s wireless network?
iSphere is seeking tech-savvy, boots-on-the-ground Wireless Access Point Technicians for a multi-site infrastructure refresh across North Dallas. If you love turning wrenches and working with enterprise-grade gear, this contract gig is your perfect mix of physical and technical.

Over the next 6 months (and likely beyond), you ll play a key role in removing legacy wireless access points and installing new, cutting-edge equipment across the client s locations. You don t need to be a network architect but you should be able to mount hardware, run cables neatly, troubleshoot basic connectivity issues, and speak fluently with on-site staff.

What You ll Be Doing:

  • Install & Replace Access Points: Safely remove old equipment and install new wireless APs based on site schematics and floorplans

  • Support Network Upgrades: Help prepare facilities for modern enterprise Wi-Fi environments no configurations needed, but you ll interface with the team that does

  • Conduct Basic Site Surveys: Confirm hardware placement for optimal signal coverage and performance

  • Troubleshoot on the Fly: Address physical connectivity or signal issues quickly and effectively during installations

  • Document Everything: Record installation steps, asset tags, and any site-specific notes for the central project team

  • Collaborate & Communicate: Work with project managers, client IT staff, and facility managers to keep everyone informed and installations running smoothly

  • Maintain Best Practices: Ensure installs are clean, secure, and compliant with safety and industry standards

What You Bring:

  • Prior experience installing, replacing, or maintaining wireless access points, switches, or structured cabling

  • Basic knowledge of networking hardware (routers, switches, APs) and wireless protocols

  • Strong troubleshooting instincts with a knack for identifying interference or poor signal issues

  • Familiarity with site surveys and signal heat mapping (a plus)

  • Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and site layouts

  • Excellent communication and time management skills

  • A self-starter mindset you re organized, resourceful, and not afraid to climb a ladder when needed

  • Your own reliable transportation to travel between client locations (mileage reimbursed)

  • Comfortable with physical work: standing, lifting, climbing, and moving equipment

Why This Role?
This is a hands-on opportunity to be part of a real transformation project no endless meetings, just real, visible impact. You ll be trusted to own your work, supported by a tight-knit team, and appreciated by the people whose networks you re upgrading. It s the kind of work that gets noticed.
