We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SDET Contractor to support the expansion of High Usage Scenario Testing (HUST) for the Mortgage LOS initiative. This role will focus on designing and implementing robust automated test solutions for complex, integrated workflows. The contractor will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness through scalable, maintainable automation with potential for contract-to-hire based on performance and business need.

Responsibilities: -

• Design and implement automated test cases for high-usage, end-to-end scenarios in the BECU and Mortgage LOS ecosystem.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and architects to ensure testability and coverage of critical workflows.
• Build and maintain test data models and reusable automation components aligned with BECU s frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliability across environments.
• Analyze test results, identify failure patterns, and support defect triage and resolution.
• Participate in backlog grooming and sprint planning to align testing with delivery milestones.
• Provide technical feedback and contribute to continuous improvement of test practices.
• Document test strategy, coverage, and results for business and technical stakeholders.

Required Skills: (8+ years as SDET)

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
• 5-8 years of experience in test automation and software quality engineering.
• Strong proficiency in C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with test frameworks such as NUnit, MS Test, Spec Flow, Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
• Knowledge of API testing and service virtualization.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) and test case management systems.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries.
• Experience with security testing or performance testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git and branching strategies (e.g., Git Flow, Trunk-Based Development).
• Strong analytical and debugging skills, with experience in root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to financial services or mortgage systems.
• Experience building Enterprise Test Automation Framework.
• Experience mentoring junior testers or developers.
