Job Description

This is a multi-level posting. Candidates may be considered for any of the posted levels 13/14/15, depending on their level of experience and depth of expertise.

The systems and development analyst builds, maintains and administers Oracle middleware which supports both cloud and internal systems and applications. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of middleware services that enable seamless integration across enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and maintain Oracle Middleware components for both cloud based and on-premise environments including Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle SOA Suite (SOA), and Oracle Managed File Transfer (MFT).

Monitor and analyze system performance and optimize availability, throughput, and security.

Troubleshoot and resolve Oracle middleware-related issues across environments.

Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application integrations.

Perform on-call rotations to maintain business continuity 24x7 for Oracle middleware and in support of application integrations.

Manage and execute patching, upgrades, and enhancements to Oracle middleware.

Build/maintain, manage and execute deployments of application integrations to targeted environments using DevOps tools and scripting.

Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures.

Support automation initiatives using scripting and integration tools.

Document system configurations, processes, and operational procedure.

Ensure compliance with IT security policies and governance standards.

Determine and maintain best practices for maintaining Oracle Middleware.

Performs any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), computer science or related technical field. Typically, four years of relayed, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a degree.

Candidates may also qualify with an associate's degree in management information systems (MIS), computer science of related technical field with 2 years of experience.

Internship in systems analysis or software application development preferred for the level 1.

A minimum of two or more years of experience in systems analysis or software application development required for the level 2.

A minimum of five years of experience in systems analysis or software application development required for the level 3.

Experience or education working with Linux Operating Systems, scripting in Python or Bash, Unix shell scripting, Java, JavaScript, Curl, SQL and/or YAML would be preferred.

Experience or education using Git source control systems including security and branching strategies would be preferred.

Experience or education with calling and consuming RESTful APIs, connecting to file systems, loading, and parsing data, mapping different data formats from and to JSON and XML.

Experience in systems administration and analysis or software application development would be a plus.

Experience working in the Oracle SOA Suite, Managed File Transfer (MFT), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and/or Oracle Fusion or similar application functionality would be a plus.

Experience building Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) applications would be a plus.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Applications Integration Associate or Professional certification would be a plus.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective collaboration skills to be able to work with a variety of individuals including as a member of a technical team, across other technical teams, functional & business analysts, project managers, scrum masters, and business users.

Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

Availability for periodic on-call responsibilities to maintain business continuity 24x7.
