Description

SAIC is seeking a talented FPGA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bedford, IN. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing FPGA-based solutions for DoD applications. As an FPGA Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that require expertise in FPGA design, simulation, synthesis, and verification.

This position is contingent upon contract award in early 2025.

Relocation assistance will be considered on a case by case basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define FPGA requirements and architecture.
  • Design, implement, and optimize FPGA firmware using VHDL, Verilog, Altium or others.
  • Conduct FPGA simulations and functional verification to ensure design correctness and performance.
  • Work closely with hardware engineers to integrate FPGA designs into target hardware platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and debug FPGA designs as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in FPGA development.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Five or more years of related experience
  • Solid understanding of FPGA architecture, design methodologies, and development tools.
  • Proficiency in VHDL or Verilog programming languages.
  • Experience with FPGA synthesis and timing closure.
  • Familiarity with FPGA simulation and verification techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Prior experience in DoD programs and systems is a plus.
