Overview

We re seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise supply chain applications for a federal power organization. This role bridges business operations and IT providing analytical and functional support for systems such as Asset Suite, Sunflower, eCommerce, SLIM, Shipping, and other supply-related platforms.

You ll work with both business users and technical teams to analyze processes, maintain and improve system performance, support upgrades, and ensure data accuracy across interconnected applications. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of supply or asset management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor assigned programs and ensure they meet supply management information needs.
  • Evaluate system performance, recommend process and data flow improvements.
  • Participate in software upgrades, enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to resolve system and data issues.
  • Perform configuration and maintenance of assigned applications and modules.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and document changes.
  • Maintain integration points and ensure consistent data across systems.
  • Develop and maintain reports to support business decision-making.
  • Provide end-user support, training materials, and system documentation.
  • Support data governance, process improvement, and change control initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field and 5 years of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience; OR
  • 9 years of progressively responsible experience without a degree.
  • Experience combining business systems analysis and technical system support.
  • Broad knowledge of supply operations such as property/inventory management, procurement, or contracting.
  • Experience maintaining or supporting automated management systems.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including defining requirements and developing ad hoc reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend system and process improvements.
  • Experience supporting project management, data analysis, and business analysis functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Asset Suite, Sunflower Property Management, or other supply chain systems.
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications such as PeopleSoft Financials, SAP, Maximo, or similar.
  • Previous experience in the energy, utilities, or federal sector.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative, agile team environment.
