Job Description:
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is seeking an experienced Network Security Analyst to support and enhance its IT security posture. This role requires a highly motivated professional with deep technical expertise in IT infrastructure, security planning, and operational continuity. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with technical teams and leadership to develop secure systems, policies, and recovery plans aligned with the department s mission.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and support secure network and system architectures in a multi-platform environment
Develop, review, and maintain IT security policies and procedures
Lead the creation and testing of disaster recovery (DR) and continuity of operations (COOP) plans
Participate in and facilitate technical requirements-gathering sessions
Conduct and lead technical tabletop exercises to simulate incident responses and improve preparedness
Provide guidance on IT security best practices, tools, and technologies
Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure integrated and secure systems architecture
Monitor and assess risks and vulnerabilities in existing systems and propose mitigations

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of IT experience with demonstrated expertise in
Architecture design and systems integration
Software development and database management
Multi-platform systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, cloud services)

Proven experience in:
Drafting IT policies and documentation
Designing and testing DR and COOP plans
Leading technical requirements sessions and tabletop exercises

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with security standards such as NIST, FISMA, or ISO 27001
Experience working with government or law enforcement IT environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners
