Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and enhance the networking landscape across warehouses, distribution centers, fulfillment hubs, and corporate logistics facilities. This role will oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of wired and wireless networks that enable seamless operations, real-time inventory movement, IoT device connectivity, and warehouse automation systems.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN infrastructures built on Cisco Catalyst switches and Ubiquiti/Unifi switching platforms, ensuring high availability and strong Layer 2 performance across logistics sites.
- LAN (layer 2 at the access layer, with a mix of Cisco and Unifi switches, Cisco, Aruba, and Unifi Access Points
- WAN via a SASE solution (CATO). All layer 3 is handled here (router on a stick)
- MSP-managed core, Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform cloud environments, 80+ site environments globally
- Project governance and end-to-end project representation including requirements gathering, vendor engagement, design, on-site deployment, post project review)
- Proactive troubleshooting of LAN and WAN based issues, including ability to visit sites in the US on short notice
- Monitoring and preventive maintenance of entire estate
- Providing guidance and support to MSP who manage 'core' out of US-East
- User support including ticketing
- Deploy and manage Unifi and Cisco-based wireless solutions to support scanners, handheld devices, AMRs, forklifts, smart pallets, and high-density warehouse environments.
- Perform RF surveys, heatmap analysis, channel planning, and AP optimization to ensure coverage and roaming stability in metal-dense, racked, and high-interference warehouse layouts.
- Troubleshoot network issues impacting WMS systems, barcode/RFID devices, conveyor networks, VoIP, CCTV, and operational technology (OT) devices.
- Implement VLAN segmentation, routing policies, access controls, and QoS to support logistics workflows, secure device onboarding, and controlled traffic flow between operational and corporate networks.
- Coordinate with cloud teams to support site-to-cloud connectivity for logistics applications, dashboards, and monitoring systems.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply proactive improvements to support 24/7 warehouse operations.
- Maintain documentation, inventory of network assets, and standards for warehouse network builds and refresh projects.
Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco Catalyst switches and Unifi switching/wireless solutions.
- Experience supporting warehouses, logistics centers, manufacturing floors, or similar operational environments.
- Proficiency in RF troubleshooting, wireless tuning, and addressing challenges caused by metal shelving, machinery, and moving equipment.
- Someone who understands wireless, including antenna types, channels, congestion, channel overlap, properties of 2.4ghz vs 5ghz vs 6ghz, attenuation, mounting methods, considerations of deployments in different building types
- Solid understanding of VLANs, STP, routing fundamentals, DHCP/DNS, firewall concepts, and network monitoring tools.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations teams, WMS support, cloud teams, and facility technicians.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and comfort working in fast-paced, production-critical environments.
