Pharma Engagement Manager, Life Sciences Washington DC / Gaithersburg (USA)

About the Role:
As an Engagement Manager in the Health and Life Sciences (HLS) practice, you will play a pivotal role in fostering and expanding client relationships within the HLS sector, executing large enterprise business application development programs for Fortune 100 clients. This includes strategic preparation, planning, relationship management, people leadership, project management, risk management, technical solution design, data discovery, and steering committees to achieve revenue and margin targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver programs focused on Agentic AI transformation across field-force transformation, omnichannel commercial excellence, brand analytics, marketing analytics, next best action, content tagging, and patient service/field-force co-pilot initiatives leveraging domain expertise, GenAI, AI, MLOps, LLMOps, cloud engineering, and design.

  • Bring clarity to complex challenges, problem-frame and brainstorm solutions in an agile, collaborative manner with stakeholders to drive client value.

  • Build in-depth knowledge of client business priorities, challenges, and initiatives, translating these into actionable opportunities and comprehensive account plans to drive QBRs, MBRs, and JBPs.

  • Lead end-to-end management of key programs including selling, consulting, project management, and solution delivery to achieve annual revenue targets of $2M+ while maintaining high client satisfaction (NPS > 70).

  • Manage account/program utilization and margins, handle client escalations, and represent the full portfolio of AI, Engineering & Design, Behavioral Sciences, and Healthcare/Pharma analytics solutions.

  • Mentor and lead a diverse team of onshore and offshore professionals, ensuring delivery excellence and strong client engagement.

  • Contribute to the development and sales of pharmaceutical capabilities with a focus on GenAI/AI.

  • Work with partners and vendors such as AWS, OpenAI, Microsoft, Databricks, MongoDB, and others to build collaborations, optimize performance, and enhance client experience.

  • Support implementation of AI models in areas such as commercial analytics, supply chain, finance, marketing, forecasting, optimization, and propensity modeling.

  • Drive daily client and account meetings, representing the pharma team in strategic discussions.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Master s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Math, or Business Administration.

  • 9 12 years of experience in healthcare/pharma consulting, with strong understanding of pharmaceutical data, analytics, and AI/engineering technologies.

  • Proven track record in leading strategic engagements within the pharmaceutical industry and achieving business goals.

  • Experience delivering analytical solutions to Fortune 500 clients and managing VP/Director-level interactions.

  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent storytelling and client engagement skills.

  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in an agile, cross-functional environment and manage ambiguity effectively.

  • Willingness to travel to client sites at least 3 days a week in Washington DC / Gaithersburg.
