We are looking for Processing Operator for our client in Sturgis, MI
Job Title: Processing Operator
Job Location: Sturgis, MI
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
  • Responsible for operating, monitoring, and documenting computer-controlled blending, weighing, cleaning, and heat treatment processes.
  • Performs product line operations, maintains GMP compliance, follows batch work orders, and ensures accurate documentation.
  • Supports transportation of raw ingredients and chemicals, completes routine cleaning and maintenance activities, and assists with related duties as assigned.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to make decisions and use problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain quality and GMP compliance at all times.
Experience:
  • Experience in food manufacturing or similar batch processing environment preferred.
  • Experience working with computer-controlled systems desired.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled blending processes.
  • Weigh, document, and stage batch ingredients using a computer-controlled weight system.
  • Operate, monitor, and document a computer-controlled clean-in-place (CIP) system.
  • Perform product line operations including standardization and final water adjustments.
  • Maintain GMP compliance through routine equipment cleaning and general area maintenance.
  • Follow batch work orders and job procedures while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Receive and transport bulk raw ingredients and chemicals.
  • Support other assigned duties as needed.
  • Operate, monitor, and document bulk slurry preparation for blending.
  • Operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled heat treatment processes.
Should Have:
  • Some college or vocational schooling desired.
Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer and mechanical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a team environment.
Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
