Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Systems Engineer to join their team. This role involves performing prototype bring-ups, tackling challenging system and board level issues, and running system tests. The successful candidate will work closely with architecture and design teams to ensure that products under development are functional, serviceable, manufacturable, and reliable. This position requires a deep understanding of x86/ARM architecture and accelerated GPU computing. The role is full-time and based in state-of-the-art facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform prototype bring-ups and handle complex system and board level troubleshooting.
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans for new features on each product.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance automated scripting for testing and results archiving.
  • Provide technical support and close partnership for validation engineers during product development.
  • Participate in collaborative development efforts with firmware and software engineers to test products in development.
  • Assess the impact of proposed design changes on testing plans and tasks.
  • Utilize high-end testing tools like Cadence Allegro for schematic design entry and PCB layout.
  • Apply debugging techniques using tools such as Tektronix and Agilent oscilloscopes to analyze board level design issues.

Qualifications:
  • MS-BS/EE required or equivalent experience (Masters preferred) in Applied Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience in a product-development environment.
  • Strong knowledge of x86/ARM architectures and accelerated GPU computing.
  • Hands-on hardware/software debugging experience.
  • Experience with BMC, server management processors.
  • Proficient in system level validation, I/O interconnect, and PCI-Express high-speed data switches.
  • Skilled in using Cadence Allegro Schematic Design Entry (Concept HDL) design tools and Allegro PCB Layout.
  • Background in DC/DC power supply design is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the Linux operating system, CLI shells, programming, and scripting.
