Akkodis is seeking an Electronics Lab Technician for a Contract job with a client in Palo Alto, CA. Responsibilities include supporting ECU and tester development through troubleshooting, soldering, and documentation, while collaborating closely with engineers to improve test methods and system integration.
Rate Range: $35/hour to $39/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Electronics Lab Technician job responsibilities include:
- Diagnose, rework, and repair ECUs, PCBs, and test equipment according to engineering specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with engineers to support the development and testing of electronic control modules and systems.
- Create and maintain documentation for test procedures, assembly processes, and repair records.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems using schematics, test equipment, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Fabricate test boards, perform precision soldering, and manage wire harnessing and component integration.
- Support lab organization, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement of test methods and workflows.
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in electronics or engineering lab environments.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing PCBs, soldering fine-pitch components, and working with test equipment like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Strong understanding of CAN networks, low-voltage electrical safety, and experience supporting hardware development in fast-paced engineering teams.
