Job Title: Senior Project Manager (PMP Certified)
Duration: 8 months
Location: Austin, TX
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and oversee multiple high-priority agency initiatives and special projects using project management best practices.
- Develop and maintain project charters, statements of work (SOW), schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource plans.
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with business and program units to ensure successful project delivery.
- Track and report project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones to executive and senior leadership.
- Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Facilitate meetings, stakeholder discussions, and group problem-solving sessions.
- Ensure timely issue resolution and removal of project barriers.
- Maintain project documentation, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Provide senior-level consultative support and recommendations to agency leadership.
- Ensure compliance with agency standards, policies, and Texas state requirements.
Required education and experience:
- 8 + years of Ability to research, gather, assemble, correlate and analyze facts; to devise solutions to problems; and to prepare concise reports and/or to analyze and solve complex and difficult problems and prioritize information and issues.
- 8 + years of Ability to develop and deliver reports identifying gaps in technology and operational effectiveness.
- 8 + years of Skilled in effectively mapping business processes and identifying process improvements and skilled in planning and facilitating meetings and group problem solving
- 8 + years of Develops or contributes to the development of statements of work, project charters, design documentation, test plans, risk assessments, project budgets, schedules, work plans, resources requirements, and cost estimates and projections.
- 8 + years of Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with multiple project sponsors and stakeholders. Must possess strong communication and presentation skills and strong teamwork skills.
- 8 + years of Skilled in project management of multiple projects with experience with implementations across large organizations to include developing and managing project plans and documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans.
- 8 + years of Ensuring resolution of issues and removal of project barriers
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- 7 + years of Experience developing written materials, including briefing documents, administrative reports and PowerPoint presentations, for diverse audiences, including senior and executive management
- 5 + years of Ability to appropriately summarize and escalate issues and develop and present weekly status updates (written and verbal) and conduct regular project team status meetings. Compiles and distributes project information, project status reports, and budge.
