This company in the data management space is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on their core client-facing software product. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity requiring 1 day/wk in Chicago, IL.
The company was founded by former financial industry employees seeking to address data and technology issues they specifically encountered in their careers. Their core product provides decision-makers with data reporting and management solutions. On that core product team, they're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to add new features in React and TypeScript. This hire will be ramped up into a tech lead role where they'll own the frontend. Their ideal candidate would have 3+ years of React experience but at least 5+ years of software development experience. The team stresses best practices and developing clean, reusable, tested code - no separate QA team!

- 5+ years of software engineering experience

- Experience with API design and development
- Commitment to following best practices to write clean code
- B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or STEM
- Aspirations to grow into leadership/feature ownership
- Demonstrated ability to function on small teams and wear multiple hats
- Experience with Test Driven Development or unit testing
- Exposure to Java / Scala
