System Administrator

DataStaff, Inc is seeking a System Administrator for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in Raleigh, NC.

Job Description:
The primary responsibility is to maintain the organization on-prem and cloud infrastructure. This role involves maintaining cloud environments and on-prem servers while ensuring their optimal performance, security, and compliance. The System Administrator collaborates with IT teams to develop and implement cloud strategies, deploys and troubleshoots services, and provides technical support to end users. Additionally, they monitor resource utilization, patching servers, and stay updated with advancements in technologies to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
Responsibilities:

• Assisting with implementing security measures and monitor access to protect data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Set up and maintain cloud servers, applications and services, resolving any issues that arise.
• Monitor and manage the efficient use of cloud resources, such as CPU, memory, and storage.
• Identify and mitigate potential threats, system vulnerabilities.
• Maintain acceptable configurations and identify deviations.
• Manage other special divisional projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Experience managing virtual machines including vulnerability and patch management.
• Provide timely detection, identification, and alerting of possible attacks. intrusions anomalous activities, and misuse activities.

Education Qualifications:

• Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in the information technology field related to the position s role; or
• High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 3-5 years of experience in the information technology field related to the position s role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 3 Years - Maintaining and patching Microsoft Windows VMs
