Experienced SAFe Product Owner to support a high-impact digital transformation initiative for a major transportation client in Washington, DC. This role sits within a cross-functional Agile Release Train focused on enhancing customer and frontline employee experiences across in-station and onboard digital channels. The ideal candidate will bring deep Agile expertise, strong stakeholder collaboration skills, and a passion for delivering user-centric products. You ll work closely with Product Management, UX/UI Design, Architecture, and engineering teams to shape the product vision, refine backlogs, and prioritize features that improve both the customer journey and employee tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary voice of the customer, maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog to reflect business goals and user value.
Collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology, and operations to define and communicate product vision and roadmap.
Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
Work cross-functionally with other Product Owners to ensure cohesive feature delivery across digital touchpoints.
Participate in PI Planning and SAFe ceremonies to ensure alignment with team and train-level objectives.
Use metrics and feedback to validate product performance, inform prioritization, and drive continuous improvement.
Champion SAFe principles and Agile best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, FigJam, Jira Align, and AgilityHealth to manage requirements and delivery transparency.
Qualifications:
SAFe 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager Certification (or 3+ years of experience in a SAFe environment)
5+ years as a Product Owner in Agile environments, ideally in customer-facing digital products
Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills
Familiarity with customer journey mapping, digital channel delivery, and data-driven decision making
