Job Description:

Job Summary: The Director of Infrastructure Connectivity Services is responsible for leading the strategy, architecture, operations, and continuous evolution of connectivity infrastructure across the enterprise. This includes the company's physical and cloud-based networks, secure access services, wireless and telecommunications platforms, and especially hybrid and multi-cloud networking strategies that enable seamless connectivity between on-premises data centers and public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS. The ideal candidate will bring advanced cloud networking expertise-particularly within Azure-and experience supporting complex application environments that span data centers and the cloud. The role also benefits from familiarity with AI/ML workloads and the unique demands they place on networking, including GPU workload traffic patterns, data transfer optimization, and latency-sensitive designs. This position leads a team of engineers and administrators across enterprise network engineering, cloud networking, operations, automation, and collaboration services. The Director works closely with Cloud, Security, Clinical, and Application teams to ensure secure, resilient, and high-performance infrastructure across all environments. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic and operational leadership across all enterprise connectivity domains-cloud networking, LAN/WAN, remote access, wireless, and telecommunications. Design and operate hybrid cloud connectivity solutions, especially between on-premises data centers and Microsoft Azure virtual networks, using services like Azure ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, and VPN Gateway. Develop cloud-native network topologies for resilient, secure, and scalable application delivery across Azure (and optionally AWS), including traffic flow, NSGs, ASGs, UDRs, and cross-subscription or multi-region designs. Partner with application teams to meet complex networking requirements for modern distributed workloads (e.g., containerized microservices, data lakes, AI/ML training environments). Lead secure network segmentation strategies supporting regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI) and workload isolation across hybrid environments. Design and support AI-focused network architectures, optimizing for high-bandwidth and low-latency scenarios such as GPU workloads, inference services, and large dataset transfers. Oversee enterprise routing, switching, firewalling, and performance tuning efforts for both on-premise and cloud platforms. Lead automation initiatives using infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep), SDN, and DevOps practices for network deployment and management. Drive operations excellence through monitoring, alerting, and remediation platforms integrated across physical and cloud network layers. Direct wireless infrastructure strategies ensuring clinical mobility, IoT device segmentation, and secure Wi-Fi connectivity. Manage VoIP, telephony, and unified communication services including cloud-hosted platforms. Govern remote access platforms and site-to-cloud interconnects supporting remote clinical, corporate, and contractor access. Lead vendor, carrier, and partner engagements to ensure performance, support, and innovation. Mentor and develop high-performing engineering teams with cross-functional cloud networking skillsets. Maintain compliance alignment across all infrastructure with internal security policies and industry regulations. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). 12+ years of progressive infrastructure experience with at least 7 years leading enterprise network or cloud connectivity teams. Advanced expertise in Azure cloud networking (e.g., vNet architecture, ExpressRoute, Private Link, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway). Demonstrated experience supporting hybrid application environments requiring seamless integration between cloud and on-premise components. Experience with enterprise WAN design (e.g., SD-WAN), inter-site routing, and global load balancing. Familiarity with AI/ML network architecture requirements and performance considerations. Strong leadership in network operations, automation, performance optimization, and cross-platform troubleshooting. Excellent communication and strategic planning skills with cross-team collaboration. Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is strongly preferred. Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent enterprise network certifications. AWS Advanced Networking or Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer
