Must do 2 days a month at client site (Orlando/Fort Lauderdale/Long Island City/Salt Lake City)

The Senior Engineer IT Platform prepares engineering analysis of projects including preliminary design, calculation, lifecycle costs and equipment selection. This engineer installs, maintains, and troubleshoots system software, hardware and related infrastructure. The Senior Engineer IT Platform excels when working on complex projects, is motivated to deliver results, and exhibits the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun.

Essential Responsibilities Build and manage cloud infrastructure via automated pipelines and based on approved architecture. Build and maintain deployment pipelines in a cloud environment. Maintain and support JetBlue's infrastructure platforms and systems to ensure the highest availability while reducing the impact of incidents.
Conduct in depth evaluations, diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving a wide variety of complex technical issues.
Advocate, train and provide technical support on new technologies to junior members on the team.
Implementation systems including the advisement of clients and providing work guidance to implementation and development teams.
Test, recommend and implement new technologies.

Follow team/department cloud infrastructure build procedures. Manage cloud system upgrades, enhancements, migrations, integration and releases of new software to Non-Production, Production and disaster recovery environments and resolve any technical and/or business issues.
Resolve, coordinate and escalate back-up / recovery support issues and risks.
Provide twenty four (24) hour, seven (7) day a week on-call support at scheduled times; be able to be contacted through a business cell phone or provide an alternate phone contact at all times.
Maintain system compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX), Payment Card Industry (PCI), IT General Controls and other regulatory controls as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience And Qualifications: High School Diploma/ General Education Diploma (GED)
Eight (8) years of experience supporting production environment in cloud or a hybrid setting
Five (5) years Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience in a cloud environment (Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud) including automation pipelines
Knowledge of IT Best Practices as they relate to the following areas: IT Infrastructure, Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD), Change Management, Cloud Networks, IT Security etc.
Experience with building and deploying applications in kubernetes environment including maintaining kubernetes clusters
Working experience with helm and docker
Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as code (IAC) for infrastructure automation
Experience with Github Actions
Experience with Grafana and prometheus or other monitoring tools setup and management
Experience with databases and Directory Services
Able to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short notice
Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience And Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
Experience with Fastly (CDN) and Network Director Software
Managing applications in private and public cloud (Azure) environments
Managing applications that reside in hosted datacenter environments
Current Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist or relevant work experience
