Details:

Senior Data Developer

Location: Houston TX - 2 days/week hybrid

Type: Full time/Direct Hire

As the Senior Data Developer, you will:

Implement and maintain consistently available database systems
Develop and maintain data models using DBT, data flow diagrams, and system architecture
Collaborate with stakeholders and Data Architect to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and secure data and system solutions
Work with Integration and Analytic resources to define data models to support integrations and analytics
Leverage tools for DataOps (CI/CD)

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
8+ years of work experience; 10+ years of experience in related work if no degree
A Master's Degree may substitute two (2) years' of work experience
Proficient in SQL, DBT, and ELT/ETL processes
Creating and maintaining Stored Procedures
Highly experienced in Snowflake
Ability to perform data analysis, identify source data issues, and provide written recommendations for data quality
Capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions
Strong knowledge of data integration, data warehousing, data governance best practices, and security controls
Ability to work independently and as a part of a collaborative team to translate tasks into deliverables
Effective at designing and implementing solutions that meet scalability and performance requirements

Preferred Skills

Experience with BI reporting tools such as Tabluea or PowerBI (Sigma Computing preferred)
Experience working with Python to perform data analysis, data transformations, and data cleansing
DataOps experience (Team utilizes DataOps.Live platform)
