Job Details
Minimum Qualification:
- Master s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics, Data Science or equivalent from an accredited University in the United States
- Must have at least Eight (8) years of experience.
- Experience in a government, school district, or related setting is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Experience coding data science solutions using R programming language and/or Python.
- Experience building statistical models, creating predictive/forecasting models, and understand algorithmic bias in stats & implications.
- Experience shepherding a data science model from requirements gathering from business stakeholders, to coding, to releasing to production, to assessing performance, to refining/optimization.
- Clearly express the details of a data science model to peers and support finding with simulations measuring the effectiveness the model and optimize for constraints.
- Support a Data Science Team in using collaboration software using Posit Workbench, Databricks, Hex, or similar
- Train Data Science team on how to check in code and collaborate using GIT and provide training and knowledge transfer on statistical models and methods.
- Explaining complex statistical models and concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical users who have minimal level knowledge of statistics.
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux servers for hosting data science tools.
- Document code, server settings, software settings, and workflows to facilitate lasting processes.
