Job Description

The Client Technologies Technician (Entry Level) will support endpoint deployments, device builds, and on-site technical support for end-users at the headquarters location. This role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), endpoint imaging, hardware/software troubleshooting, and asset management. The technician will work onsite 40 hours per week, Monday Friday, to assist IT Services Desktop Support Staff in maintaining a reliable and secure end-user computing environment.


Daily Responsibilities

  • Build laptops, desktops, and tablets using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).

  • Verify successful installation and configuration, including:

    • BitLocker Key stored in Active Directory and Intune

    • MECM Client installed and active

  • Ensure each device remains connected to the NTS network for at least 2.5 hours after task sequence completion.

  • Validate all software listed on the build sheet is properly installed.

  • Assist with deployment and setup of end-user equipment within the headquarters building.

  • Document all assigned assets (laptops, desktops, tablets, docking stations, monitors, printers, scanners) in the designated IT Services Asset Management System.

  • Diagnose and resolve endpoint hardware/software issues; record activities in the help desk ticketing system.

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs; escalate to vendor support when necessary.

  • Assist with removal, disposal, and salvage of obsolete IT equipment.

  • Perform other related IT support duties as assigned.


Monthly Responsibilities

  • Connect designated backup tablets to the NTS network via patch cable to receive Patch Tuesday updates.

    • Tablets must remain connected from the second Friday of each month until 12 PM the following Wednesday.

    • Perform local login before shutdown on Wednesday.

  • Ensure iPads are powered on and charging for the same duration as the tablets.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in desktop & networked systems support, including laptops, tablets, printers, and scanners.

  • 2+ years of experience in device deployment, operations, and repair.

  • 2+ years of experience in hardware/software installation.

  • 2+ years working with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Edge, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Strong expertise supporting Microsoft Windows.

  • Ability to lift:

    • 50 lbs occasionally

    • 20 lbs frequently


Preferred Skills

  • Experience using a help desk ticketing system.

  • Familiarity with the NTS Network.

  • Knowledge of Active Directory or Intune.


Required Education / Certifications

  • High School Diploma (required).

  • Associate or Bachelor s degree in a related field (may substitute for work experience).


Work Schedule

  • Onsite, 40 hours/week

  • Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

  • 1-hour lunch break
