Database Administrator

We are seeking a Database Administrator who can bridge technical expertise with business collaboration. This role requires someone comfortable working closely with IT teams while partnering directly with business users to resolve issues and support projects.

Position Highlights:

  • Location: Northwest metro

  • Hybrid Schedule: Full-time, with 3 days per week in the office.

  • Compensation: Target range is $100,000-$115,000, with flexibility for exceptional experience.

  • On-Call Rotation: Part of an 8-person rotation; efforts are made to minimize disruptions.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a utility player, not just a traditional DBA. Responsibilities include:

    • Database maintenance (monitoring, backups, indexing, optimization).

    • Project work: purging databases, prepping for upgrades, vendor coordination.

    • Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Support Microsoft SQL Server environments, including replication, mirroring, and governance of connectors.

  • Work with Power Platform and Power BI for reporting and analytics.

  • Assist with Azure integrations, APIs, and web applications.

  • Act as a technical lead for database governance and best practices.

  • Mentor a junior system administrator to ensure coverage and avoid single points of failure.

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to balance technical depth with business communication.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and familiarity with MS Power Systems.

  • Knowledge of Power Platform tools and reporting.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and proactive problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or Associate's degree with equivalent experience).

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Exposure to database development and system indexing.
