Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Project Manager with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple initiatives related to risk and other internal team objectives
• Support end to end technology for programs and projects
• Perform project management responsibilities relating to information technology implementations, upgrades, conversion and recovery
• Direct and matrix execution responsibility across all technology organizations as well as LOB Portfolio/Program Manager on the business side for delivering the program/projects
• Manage multiple projects or a single major project
• Partner with Program and Project Managers and SMEs to create business requirements for technology solutions
• Assist with technology estimates, manage low to moderate complexity technology solutions for projects to a full-scale deployment in a live environment
• Manage timelines and communicate project status and has matrix management responsibility
• Build positive give and take relationships with stakeholders
• Use the right questions and tools to uncover root causes to business
• Oversee a series of projects of moderate to high complexity within a single or multiple department(s) within a business unit
• Assess and advise on improving process and methodologies of current project management implications throughout projects' timelines, including development of strategies, readiness assessment, development of training and communications
• Work with project managers to identify redundancies and duplications of efforts across projects and eliminate
• Participate in meetings with Senior Management and provide appropriate input and feedback

Requirements:

• Able to motivate project managers to build cooperative work teams
• Comprehensive knowledge of business units functions
• Strong communication skills to work with senior management to deliver requirements
• Strong analytical, problem solving, quality management, and organizational skills
• Comprehensive understanding of project management theory and team dynamics
• Proven ability to effectively collaborate with others, initiate action and adapt to change
• Proven ability to make tough decisions and accept challenging assignments
• MS Office
• Agile Methodology
• Program management experience and PMP certification
• Formal full end-to-end project management experience with a proven track record of successful project delivery
• Strong project management skills, a proven ability to deliver high-quality technical software development projects on time and within budget, including development of an overall project plan and management of issues/risks and watch items
• Able to produce regular, thorough and accurate project status reports written at the appropriate target audience - from technical project team members to Senior Management
• Close liaison with change management, the business community, technical groups within client globally and external vendors
• An excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications (most especially project, Excel and Outlook skills)
• Demonstrated ability to accurately estimate costs and develop and implement project plans within budgetary guidelines
• Technical Project Management, e xecutive communications (Written and verbal) , high level understanding of financials, process oriented

Desired Skills:

• Background in software project development
• Knowledge of PowerPoint and SharePoint

Pay range: $46.16 - $54.16
