As an Application Software Engineer specializing in COTS support, you will ensure the stability, performance, and integration of essential Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications. You will leverage strong technical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex issues, deep dive into application code and databases, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams for effective solutions. A key expectation is to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME), understanding application functionality and architecture.



Experience Required1+ year professional experience in software development, system integration, or supporting enterprise COTS applications by investigating codebases and database structures.Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript.Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, Angular, React, Vue.js).Database management systems experience (MSSQL, ORACLE, MySQL, PostgreSQL - MSSQL is core).Familiarity with Windows Server operating systems.Understanding/experience with MQTT protocol and JSON for data interchange.Ability to analyze/interpret existing application codebases, logs, and database schemas.Familiarity with API integration (e.g., REST, SOAP) for connecting COTS applicationsScripting, Microsoft Sql Servers, Microsoft WindowsGoogle Cloud Platform, Big Query, JSON



Education RequiredBackground in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
