Overview

General Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Lead specializing in Supply Chain Management to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support, analysis, and enhancement of SAP modules related to supply chain processes, ensuring seamless operations and optimization of our supply chain functions. Under minimal supervision, the Supply Chain Functional Lead is responsible for leading the solution and delivery of supply chain system capabilities for our business stakeholders. They are a subject matter expert in SAP ERP functional areas such as Materials Management (MM), Logistics General (LO), Logistics Execution (LE), and Sales and Distribution (SD). Must continuously maintain and develop the necessary skillsets, both technical and analytical, to enhance business solutions within Discount Tire's IT architecture. They will also provide business value by evaluating and implementing functionality through process engineering, education, and configuration of enterprise applications and technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Play a leadership role in the planning, analysis, testing, and implementation phases, working closely with end-users and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Lead functional design in areas such as Inventory Management, Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics Distribution, and Returns processes.
  • Research, recommend and develop functional solution design; define business processes and improvements with focus on SAP capabilities and integration points.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional specifications and solutions within SAP.
  • Configure SAP system settings to meet business needs, perform system enhancements, and oversee customizations in alignment with industry and SAP best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain function and recommend and implement SAP solutions to optimize workflows and efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including other IT teams, operations, and other business units to ensure seamless integration of supply chain processes with other SAP modules and applications.
  • Lead or participate in testing activities, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and oversee the deployment of new functionalities and enhancements.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, including process/landscape diagrams, user stories, functional specifications, technical systems design, user procedure documents, training documents, and rollout procedures as applicable.
  • Provide expert-level support for complex issues, troubleshoot system errors, and provide timely resolutions to ensure minimal disruption to supply chain operations.
  • Collect, document, and analyze new work requests with our business partners to determine sizing and approach for potential solutions.
  • Assist the leadership team in prioritizing work requests, bug fixes and other initiatives as necessary.
  • Consistently provide and vet options as necessary for solutions that address business requirements as well as non-functional requirements while adhering to best practices around standardization, scalability, and usability.
  • Lead projects with cross functional teams, business leaders and third-party vendors.
  • Consider capacity limitation and operations times; collaborates with IT resources.
  • Consider user impact, capabilities, limitation, and adoption; collaborate with business process owners and Subject Matter Experts (SME).
  • Build, configure, or partner with development to deliver and unit test quality and efficient functionality.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and direction to testing resources as well as oversight for test scenarios, scripts, and test cases.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to end users, support team and testing as necessary during for any functional remediation, change, enhancement or break fix.
  • Provide support for functions as necessary including supporting junior resources, business support, root cause analysis and corrective remediation for escalated problems and incidents.
  • Mentor and train junior resources and other extended team members and customers as necessary in the domain space you support.
  • Stay current on the latest industry trends and strategies as well as emerging SAP and ERP capabilities.
  • Provide a can-do attitude with a pragmatic balance of velocity, quality, best practices, and prioritization.
  • Complete work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred; OR equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of SAP system specific configuration and implementation experience
  • 2+ years in a leadership and/or stakeholder engagement & delivery role
  • Demonstrated advanced level knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and business processes.
  • Demonstrated advanced level SAP application knowledge in MM, LO, LE and/or SD modules.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP integration points for transactional and master data.
  • Demonstrated understanding of technologies including APIs, EDI, IDOCs, BAPIs, and RFCs.
  • Creating workflow, process, and landscape diagrams (ex: wire frames, UML, Visio).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should be comfortable presenting to senior level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to respond to different organizational situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude, and the ability to adjust to changing requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP CAR OAA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP SCM, and/or SAP Business Network
  • Relevant SAP certification(s).
  • Experience with OpenText platforms and an understanding of how Managed Service Providers are utilized in EDI processes.
  • Retail industry experience.


Work Days:

Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
