Job Title: QlikView Developer and Support Engineer

Experience Level: 6+ Years

Location: Onshore USA

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced QlikView professional with strong hands-on expertise in QlikView monitoring, dashboard support, and minor development activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of QlikView applications through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancements. Experience in Power BI monitoring is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • QlikView Monitoring & Support
    • Perform daily monitoring of QlikView jobs, tasks, and server performance.
    • Identify and resolve job failures, data inconsistencies, and performance issues.
    • Rerun failed jobs and escalate recurring or critical issues as required.
    • Maintain system stability and data accuracy across environments.
  • Development & Enhancements
    • Perform minor modifications or enhancements to existing QlikView dashboards and reports.
    • Support business users with report maintenance, data validation, and ad-hoc requests.
    • Participate in small development projects involving data model updates, expressions, and UI improvements.
  • Monthly Operations
    • Execute monthly data aggregation, reconciliation, and reload activities.
    • Validate outputs against source systems and ensure timely delivery of monthly reports.
  • Power BI Support (Good to have)
    • Monitor Power BI refresh jobs and escalate failures.
    • Collaborate with Power BI developers for issue resolution.
  • Documentation & Governance
    • Maintain documentation of job schedules, dependencies, and known issues.
    • Follow established operational and change management procedures.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience working with QlikView in a development and support capacity.
  • Strong understanding of QlikView architecture, QV Server/QMC, and Publisher.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining data models, load scripts, and dashboards.
  • Hands-on experience with QlikView job monitoring, log analysis, and task automation.
  • Good understanding of SQL, data extraction, and ETL concepts.
  • Exposure to Power BI monitoring or basic development preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with distributed teams.
  • Basic understanding of data warehouse and BI governance practices.

Education:

Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or related field
