Job Title: Product Specialist 5 (PS5)

Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid - Onsite at 2045 Morse Rd., Bldg. F)

Duration: 6 Months

Job Summary

The Client, is seeking a highly experienced Product Specialist 5 (PS5) to serve as the technical expert for enterprise-wide systems, specifically supporting the modernization of the Relationally Integrated Computer System (RICS) and the legacy RBDMS system.

This role ensures optimal product stability, enhances usability for application teams, and drives migration to modern versions and platforms.

You will collaborate with architects, programmers, vendors, and business stakeholders to support system modernization, create synchronization solutions, define product roadmaps, act as a proxy Product Owner, and perform critical testing and documentation activities.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the technical SME for enterprise-level systems and environments.
  • Provide leadership for product implementation, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • Make informed recommendations on product improvements, standards, and usability.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to optimize product adoption and plan migration paths.

RICS/RBDMS System Modernization

  • Evaluate, identify, and resolve bi-directional sync issues between RICS and RBDMS data tables.
  • Develop a comprehensive roadmap to retire legacy RBDMS functionality used by DOGRM.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure quality and alignment with requirements.

Proxy Product Owner Duties

  • Attend vendor standups and define features, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Document all requirements and updates within ADO.

Testing & Validation

  • Lead efforts with business stakeholders to test and validate RICS enhancements.
  • Conduct impact analysis for production fixes and enhancements.

Documentation & Standards

  • Track and document system usage, technical processes, and sync flows.
  • Contribute to training materials and user documentation.
  • Use Visio to model synchronization and workflow processes.

OnBase Taxonomy & Document Management

  • Manage existing OnBase taxonomy, including submitting new document types and groups.
  • Resolve issues related to legacy RBDMS document transfers into OnBase with RICS taxonomy.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ year s experience with MS Access & SQL Server (T-SQL) development.
  • 7+ years experience creating Stored Procedures, Triggers, and supporting bi-directional sync processes.
  • 7+ years experience writing SQL queries to identify and clean orphaned or inconsistent data.
  • 7+ years experience creating ETL processes between systems.
  • 5+ years experience resolving OnBase document transfer and taxonomy issues.
  • 3+ years experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience documenting requirements in ADO.
  • Ability to create workflow and sync diagrams using Visio.

Work Environment & Additional Requirements

  • Hybrid role: Onsite work required at 2045 Morse Rd., Bldg. F, Columbus, OH.
  • Must be able to comply with State of Ohio security protocols government equipment cannot leave the United States.
  • Must complete a Federal/BCI fingerprint background check.
  • Candidate must provide city and state of residence.
