This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will enable and support the design harmonization, manufacturing and delivery of critical hardware in ground equipment, engines, launch vehicles, and/or in-space projects. You will support procurement, internal program engineering, and Blue Origin's critical supplier partners in pursuit of standardization, efficiency, and cost savings. You will enable on-time delivery of hardware by solving technical issues in the supply base, mitigating non-conformances, generating DfX (design for...) feedback, and supporting the creation of strategic and sourceable statements of work.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • resolving technical issues and developing/sustaining suitable manufacturing processes in the supply base to satisfy part and program requirements.
  • owning technical risk identification and mitigation strategies at the supplier.
  • engaging with multiple commodities across all Blue Origin business units.
  • identifying and providing DfX feedback to design engineering.
  • reviewing statements of work for sourceability.
  • identifying requirement harmonization and other technical standardization opportunities across internal business units.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Proven understanding of engineering fundamentals for design and manufacturing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to articulate technical topics to non-subject matter experts
  • Strong creative problem-solving and collaboration skills
  • Ability to learn, grow and address new challenges in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Practical knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Aerospace Experience
  • Experience in Statement of Work (SOW) generation
  • Experience performing supplier assessments


Compensation Range for:
WA applicants is $108,795.00-$152,311.95
