Job Description:
- The Signal Integrity Engineer will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and compliance of high-speed I/O interfaces through rigorous signal integrity testing, compliance certification, and design collaboration.
- The role requires strong technical expertise in electrical testing, data analysis, and automation within a hardware engineering environment.
- Perform detailed electrical signal integrity testing on high-speed I/O interfaces.
- Conduct tuning and debugging to optimize product performance and resolve issues.
- Ensure I/O interfaces comply with industry logo standards such as PCIe, USB, DP, HDMI, and MIPI through compliance certification testing.
- Collaborate with design engineers to review I/O circuit designs and layouts, providing recommendations to improve signal integrity and compliance.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans for high-speed I/O interfaces.
- Develop automation tools and scripts to improve test efficiency and reduce cost.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation and reports on test procedures, results, and project status.
- Interface with logo certification bodies to stay updated on evolving standards and update testing procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware design, PHY design, board design, and customer engineering throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of high-speed I/O signal integrity testing and compliance.
- Experience with I/O interfaces such as PCIe, USB, DP, HDMI, etc.
- Proficiency in Python and other scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Familiarity with schematics, PCB layout, hardware system setup, and Windows applications.
- Working knowledge of Linux environments.
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid background in IC technology and computer architecture.
