Live Event Support Technician


Elite Technical is seeking candidates to support our customer, a major Washington DC arena, with Live Event IT and Broadcasting support. This position will be averaging 20 hours per week (per live event scheduling) and will mostly take place in the evenings and weekends. The Event Support Technician plays a key role in supporting all live events at our customer-s arena/facilities by delivering real-time technical assistance and ensuring the reliability of computer systems, network infrastructure, and broadcast/A/V equipment essential to live television production, sporting events, and concerts in an arena environment. This role also assists the Technology Team by addressing Tier 1 hardware and software issues, managing and imaging user endpoints, supporting video conferencing platforms, and maintaining accurate technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide real-time technical support during live events at facilities inclusive of nights (2nd shift), weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain the technical integrity of computer systems, network devices, and broadcast/arena A/V systems.
- Test, maintain, and fabricate cables, adapters, and small part modifications as needed.
- Setup and support Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx conference calls, ensuring seamless audio and video functionality throughout each session.
- Support, image, manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune, Auto Pilot, and JAMF Pro ensuring devices have the latest service packs, system updates, security patches and bug fixes.
- Provide Tier 1 technology support for staff resolving hardware/software issues quickly and effectively.
- Document all issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system.
- Build, update, and develop Standard Operating Procedure guides used for training, IT operations, and work-flow management purposes.
- Other duties as assigned.

- 4+ years of experience working in a Broadcasting and/or Technical hands on role, including Broadcasting Technician, Service Desk Technician, Desktop Support Engineer, or similar.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- CompTIA A+ Certified
- Working knowledge of computer software/hardware, Windows/Mac operating systems, mobile devices, and network switches/hubs and cabling.
- Understanding of broadcast signal flow in a television broadcast environment; inclusive of video routers, video switchers, broadcast cameras, RF infrastructure.
- Solid grasp of office automation products and computer peripherals including printers and scanners.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, make quick decisions, and respond to the demands of live games and events.
- Ability to carry up to 50 lbs and work in small environments.
- Superb interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Able to work effectively both independently and in a team.
- Ability to resolve issues remotely and provide clear instructions.
- Ability to balance and prioritize work with competing target dates.
