Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled Implementation Engineer to join their team, focusing on network infrastructure and service implementation. This role involves establishing relationships with key stakeholders, contributing to project outcomes, and implementing changes within the project governance framework. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network engineering, particularly with Cisco systems, and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within the customer organization to influence project details and outcomes.
  • Implement network changes according to the project's governance policies and procedures.
  • Participate in multiple projects, providing guidance and support to project teams as needed.
  • Evaluate existing network infrastructure and operations to optimize network architecture and capabilities at customer sites.
  • Install, configure, and support various Cisco routing and switching equipment, ensuring integration into new and existing facilities.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to coordinate equipment installations and conduct various site surveys.
  • Resolve networking issues including connectivity, interference, and configuration problems.
  • Document changes and perform peer reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with Cisco IOS Platforms and products, including Nexus and 3000/5000/7000 series switches.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN hardware infrastructure changes and configurations.
  • Familiarity with fiber optic technologies (ST, SC, LC) and LAN switch configuration technologies (VTP, STP, QoS).
  • Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP) and troubleshooting Cisco router and switch configurations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with network implementation projects, including the ability to work nights and weekends as required for deployments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working both independently and within a team.
  • CCNA certification required; CCNP preferred. A BS Degree in Engineering (IT, Telecom, Computer Science) is advantageous.
  • Additional experience with Arista Devices, WAAS devices, and SSH configuration is a plus.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
