Job Description:
A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a hands-on SQL Database Administrator/Developer to support data modernization and integration initiatives. This role will focus on consolidating disparate databases, optimizing data movement, and supporting large-scale transactional data as the organization prepares for an upcoming SAP S/4HANA migration.
Responsibilities:
- Act as SQL Server SME supporting database development and administration
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, tables, and stored procedures
- Work with very large datasets (10M+ records)
- Design and support ETL processes moving 100K–250K+ records per load
- Support middleware ETL using Pentaho Kettle and assist migration to SSIS
- Improve data flow efficiency across multiple systems (A → B → C)
- Perform minor application development within SQL Server
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with SQL Server (2012–2017)
- Advanced T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning
- ETL and data integration experience
- Experience with Pentaho Kettle (Progress DB)
- Hands-on experience with high-volume transactional databases
Preferred Skills:
- SSIS
- SSRS
- Informatica
- Manufacturing or ERP data experience
