RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst in Shelton, CT.
Summary:
A Business Analyst collaborates with various departments and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows. They translate these requirements into functional specifications for technology teams and work closely with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure successful project delivery. Additionally, they identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Requirement Elicitation and Analysis:
* Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges
* Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows
* Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications for technical teams
Solution Design:
* Collaborate with technology teams to design solutions that meet business needs
* Propose innovative and practical solutions to address business challenges
* Ensure that proposed solutions align with the organization's strategic goals and technological capabilities
Stakeholder Communication:
* Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams
* Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
* Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to various audiences
Documentation:
* Create detailed documentation including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Quality Assurance:
* Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and validation of implemented solutions
* Ensure that delivered solutions meet the specified requirements and are of high quality
REQUIREMENTS:
* A degree in IT/Computer Science or a related field
* 3+ years of experience in Business/Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance
* Proven experience in eliciting and documenting requirements using a BRD, process flows, use cases, and user stories
* Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
* Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
* Strong critical thinking, and process improvement skills
* Strong problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking
* Ability to work with various teams within an organization, including business and technical product owners, project managers, and developers
* Knowledge in RBAC a plus
* Knowledge of SDLC a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
