Job Title: Software Engineer (Contingent Resource)
Location: San Francisco, CA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days/week in-office (8-hour days)
About the Role
As a Software Engineer in this contingent resource assignment, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve moderately complex engineering challenges and support large-scale planning and execution efforts. This role requires a strong understanding of backend systems, cloud technologies, and modern development practices.

About the Role
As a Software Engineer in this contingent resource assignment, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve moderately complex engineering challenges and support large-scale planning and execution efforts. This role requires a strong understanding of backend systems, cloud technologies, and modern development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of backend services using Java and related technologies.
- Participate in the planning and execution of moderately complex software engineering projects.
- Analyze and resolve technical challenges by evaluating variable factors and proposing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with engineering deliverables, compliance standards, and best practices.
- Support the integration of cloud-native technologies and automation frameworks into the development lifecycle.
- 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent experience through a combination of work, consulting, military service, or education.
- Strong proficiency in backend development using Java, including service-oriented architecture and database integration.
- Experience with Angular for front-end development.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and test automation tools.
- Familiarity with container orchestration technologies such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Proficient in working with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server; experience with MongoDB is a plus.
- This is a contingent resource assignment.
- Candidates must be able to work on-site three days per week.
