EHS Manager

Russ Hadick & Associates, Inc has partnered with a client to help them search and qualify candidates for their EHS Manager opening. This job can be located in the Akron, Ohio arear as well as Danville, Kentucky.

This client is a leader in their industry as they are looking for someone with the following

• Will have no direct reports will have dotted lines to respective sites.
• Close relationships with each of the sites teams.
• Contact with internal site leaders, EHS teams, and Group EHS leaders.
• Ensuring things are standardized as much as possible.
• Focus on strategy for safety culture conservation projects, developing training programs, looking for funding re environmental efforts.
• Regulatory reporting tools safety software programs
• Preference toward stronger experience on H&S side; much of environmental aspects are outsourced currently.
• Dynamic person, strong EHS knowledge, good energy, able to drive initiatives, be strategic while being able to be hands on as needed. Influencing skills. Come from well-established EHS standards environment. Strong leadership to make changes.
• Global experience a plus. Equipment operational safety, employee safety.
• Set up systems and train on how to use the tools to achieve a standardized process across the sites.
• Do risk assessments, train on audits, do some audits as well. More hands on.
• Coming in and making sure the sites are aligned in the right direction. Strong strategic role. Day-to-day responsibilities are handled well. How to drive the EHS function forward; take EHS to the next level.
• ravel 25-50% especially during first year, less the 2nd year and on. Travel will be to clients sites, 3 in the US, one in Mexico and one in the UK.
• Aerospace and/or Chemical background is a plus, Manufacturing experience is a MUST
