Position: Workday Tester

Location: Houston, TX (remote)

Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled Senior Test Engineer with strong expertise in Workday Core HCM, Integrations, and working knowledge of Payroll and Compensation modules. This onsite role involves validating configurations, business processes, and integrations across multiple modules, while ensuring high-quality Workday solutions through systematic testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:


- Execute test strategies across Workday Core HCM, Integrations, and supporting Payroll and Compensation modules.
- Design, document, and execute test cases for Unit, SIT, Regression, UAT, and post-production validation.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
- Validate EIB loads, inbound/outbound integrations, and ensure data integrity.
- Support test data creation, mass uploads, and configuration validation for Workday HCM.
- Track, log, and retest defects using standard QA tools and methodologies.
- Coordinate with Payroll and Compensation teams to validate cross-module impacts.
- Participate in Workday release testing and ongoing enhancement validation.
- Prepare test reports, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:


- 6+ years of experience in Workday Core HCM testing.
- Good understanding of integrations, EIBs, and business process configurations.
- Exposure to Payroll and Compensation modules testing.
- Strong experience in test execution, defect lifecycle management, and validation techniques.
- Proficiency with tools like Azure DevOps, Smart Sheet, or similar.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, or a related field.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
- Workday certifications in HCM, Integrations, or Compensation (nice to have).
- Experience in a global delivery model and working in Agile environments.
