As a Manager Automation Engineer working with the Strategic Automation team, your knowledge and skill will be utilized to support a variety of customers. Our team provides three crucial services:

What You Will Achieve

As a Manager Automation Engineer working with the Strategic Automation team, your knowledge and skill will be utilized to support a variety of customers. Our team provides three crucial services:
- Automation support of large, capital projects from design to build to test to Operations turnover.
- Partnering with the corporate Digital team, support integration of shop floor systems to corporate manufacturing execution systems (MES)
- Provide escalation support and troubleshooting to our colleagues supporting base business operations.
- It is your hard work and dedication that will make Pfizer ready to achieve new milestones and help patients across the globe.
- Contribute to the completion of projects, manage own time on agreed targets, develop plans for own projects and leads small project teams.
- Demonstrate good planning, organizing, time management and team participation skills.
- Generate and develop standard operating procedures and system support.
- Analyze operational process problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
- Manage change control authoring and execution.
- Participate in the site and network wide teams to provide cybersecurity alignment and direction.
- Provide 24x7x365 support of our automation systems and perform automation activities for capital and non-capital projects.
- Modify moderately complex to highly complex control logic that requires a degree of scientific and/or manufacturing process expertise.
- Mentor and guide junior staff and serve as a technical trainer, whenever necessary.
- Clearly communicate progress and issues to peers.
Must-Have
- Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience.
- OR an Associate's degree with 8 years of experience.
- OR a Bachelor's with at least 5 years of experience.
- OR Master's Degree with more than 3 years of experience.
- OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience.
- Experience with writing software test plans, user requirements, and system design documents.
- Strong knowledge of programming and troubleshooting of Rockwell and/or Siemens PLCs.
- Strong knowledge of programming and troubleshooting of Rockwell FTView, GE iFix, and/or Wonderware System Platform HMIs.
- Good knowledge or programming and troubleshooting of Rockwell FTBatch and/or Wonderware InBatch.
- Strong knowledge of Computerized Systems, Compliance regulations and standards.
- Teamwork spirit, good communication skills and training abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills {written and oral}.
- Relevant pharmaceutical experience.
- Database/Historian knowledge (SQL, AVEVA PI).
- MES experience - Rockwell PharmaSuite.
- Vmware and virtualization knowledge.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Office and plant environment. Keyboarding, lifting, standing, bending, walking.
- Weekend and off hours work required, some overtime.
- Supporting 24/7 operation - on call coverage.
- Adhere to safe work practices.
- Some travel.
