Job Title: Documentation Technician, Product Engineering

Hours per Week: 40

Hours per Day: 8

Location: On-Site

Overview:

The Product Engineering Technician collaborates closely with Engineering and Quality departments to support documentation and artwork changes related to product packaging. This role involves creating and revising change orders, inspecting and post-approving artwork, and managing documentation within the AGILE Document Control System. The technician will support mid to senior-level managers in a dynamic environment that may include customer and executive interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and revise documentation and change orders in AGILE.
  • Inspect and approve artwork and labeling changes for product packaging.
  • Compare approved graphics to vendor proofs and ensure alignment with technical documentation.
  • Generate redline documents and route them for approval.
  • Manage and track graphic files and specifications through the approval process.
  • Organize workflow and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Compose letters, reports, and presentations as needed.
  • Apply critical thinking and investigative skills to resolve documentation issues.
  • May assist in purchasing decisions related to documentation and packaging.

Required Skills & Competencies:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong attention to detail, including graphic, alphanumeric, and technical accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with AGILE Document Control System.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills; ability to train others if needed.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in the medical manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) related to medical devices.
