We are seeking a motivated and skilled Permanent Power System Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing power systems, as well as conducting power quality investigations and troubleshooting. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical power systems and their components, as well as knowledge of relevant regulatory standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in power flow and stability studies, and will be proficient in using computational modeling platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned engineer to apply their skills and knowledge in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor design and construction activities to ensure compliance with NESC, RUS, and other relevant standards and requirements.
2. Perform electrical power system studies in the areas of power flow, stability, and related topics using computational modeling platforms.
3. Conduct power quality investigations and troubleshooting, and develop corrective actions, reports, and findings.
4. Perform penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in the power system and develop solutions to address these issues.
5. Use AutoCAD to design and modify electrical systems and components.
6. Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to develop and implement power system projects.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of power system engineering and incorporate this knowledge into your work.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in power system engineering, with a focus on industrial power systems and electrical utilities.
3. Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to attain.
4. Solid knowledge of NESC, RUS, and other relevant standards and requirements.
5. Proficiency in using computational modeling platforms for power system studies.
6. Experience with AutoCAD for designing and modifying electrical systems and components.
7. Proven ability to conduct power quality investigations and troubleshooting, and to develop corrective actions, reports, and findings.
8. Experience with penetration testing in a power system context.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
11. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
