IBM Integration Architect - IBM ACE & MQ

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IBM Integration Architect with deep hands-on expertise in IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM MQ. The ideal candidate will lead architecture, upgrades, migration planning, and design efforts as part of a large integration modernization initiative.

This is a senior role that requires both technical leadership and the ability to collaborate across onshore and offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the architectural lead for IBM ACE and IBM MQ upgrade and migration activities.

• Plan, design, and implement integrations using IBM ACE.

• Lead and support installation and upgrade efforts; minimum three hands-on IBM ACE upgrade projects preferred.

• Define the target integration architecture for IBM ACE 13.x running on Azure Cloud.

• Create detailed migration strategies, including approach, steps, activities, and refactoring recommendations.

• Conduct architecture discussions, workshops, and design reviews with client architecture teams.

• Provide technical recommendations and solution guidance based on best practices and industry standards.

• Collaborate with distributed teams, including remote/offshore groups.

• Ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability of integration solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM MQ.

• Strong experience leading IBM ACE installations, upgrades, and migration projects (minimum 3).

• Deep knowledge in designing and developing IBM ACE integrations.

• Experience defining enterprise integration architectures, particularly in Azure cloud environments.

• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical direction.

• Experience working with hybrid or distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications in IBM ACE and IBM MQ.

• Experience with cloud migration or modernization projects.

• Background working in large enterprise environments.
