Job Title: Senior UX Designer Healthcare Applications

Location: Remote

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Product Designer (or UX Designer/Healthcare Product Manager) with a strong track record in designing and implementing complex, end-to-end user workflows within Electronic Health Records (EHR) or healthcare software applications. This role demands a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by users across clinical, operational, and administrative domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and optimization of user workflows in healthcare applications, ensuring intuitive and efficient user experiences across diverse roles and departments.
  • Gather and synthesize nuanced user requirements from clinicians, administrative staff, and operational stakeholders through research, interviews, and on-site observations.
  • Design user-centric solutions that align with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, ONC, CMS, etc.) and best practices in patient care and data privacy.
  • Stay up to date on healthcare regulations and trends to anticipate and plan for their impact on product design.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience designing complex, end-to-end workflows in EHR, EMR, or healthcare IT applications.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including clinical, administrative, and regulatory aspects.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve for nuanced and varied user needs in real-world healthcare scenarios.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.).
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing relevant healthcare projects and user-centered design methodologies.
