Job Description:
Your opportunity
To join the Investment Data Strategy & Solutions team - tasked with the technical business analysis on the components of strategic projects associated with the Investment community.
Interviewing and running workshops with Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and Traders.
Identify and analyze data attributes within internal systems and document the impact proposed by change through projects or initiatives.
Understand Python and VBA applications created by users, including any pipelines and processes, identifying areas for improvement.
Create functional requirements documents and Jira tickets detailing current state and proposed changes and be able to clearly articulate these to impacted teams.
Liaise with technology teams, clearly communicating the development changes required for delivery and overseeing testing and sign off with business users.
Work with centralized data management teams to ensure that efforts in the investment management community work in synergy with those teams.
Creation of repeatable testing frameworks to ensure requirements built to your specification meet the necessary standards.
Facilitate requirements gathering meetings.
Leverage emerging technology and techniques to achieve your work goals in a timely manner.
Liaise with stakeholders and ensure regular communications with the business, technology, and data teams.
Collaborate with technical architects to ensure all change is clearly documented by updating of conceptual and logical models and ensuring data catalogues, definitions and lineage is all aligned.

Must have skills
10+ years of experience in Financial Services (Asset Management, Investment Banking, Wealth Management etc.)
Financial knowledge. At least one of: Equity, Fixed Income, OTC and Exchange Traded Derivatives, Fund Management, Security Analytics, Performance Measurement, Risk Measurement, Portfolio Construction, Client Reporting, Banking or Regulatory Reporting. This will be assessed during the interview process.
Strong technical aptitude including some experience in Python and VBA. This will be assessed during the interview process.
Experience of working on large scale projects in a Technical Business Analyst or Data Analyst role.
Experience writing & implementing business requirements, process maps, and user stories.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Strong Microsoft Excel and SQL skills.
Experience with process mapping software applications: Visio, Lucid Charts etc.
Analytical, structured, and logical in approach.
Attention to detail and a delivery focused mind set.
Organized & collaborative.
Nice to have skills
Strong Python knowledge preferred. VBA knowledge advantageous.
CFA candidate preferred.
5+ years' experience of working within a data team or dealing with processing large amounts of data.
Genuine experience creating AI (multi-agent LLM) utilities.
Previous finance experience in middle and back-office processes.
Experience in Agile methodologies, including use of Jira.
Systems: Any OMS, S&P EDM (formerly CADIS), Eagle, FactSet, and Port.
Exposure to Cloud platforms, preferably Azure, DataBricks & Snowflake.
