Description
Sr. Business & Quality Assurance Analyst, Information Technology

The Sr Business & Quality Assurance Analyst will work as part of Technologies' Business Analysis & Quality Assurance team (BAQA) supporting Corporate and Investments projects, including but not limited to Finance, HR, Legal, Investments/Real Estate and IT Operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing Business Analysis, which includes participating in project teams to gather and understand business requirements and work with vendors, developers and end users to capture and create system capabilities that support business needs. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, and a proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities across both business processes and technology solutions. In addition, we are looking for someone who can perform the function of Quality Assurance by testing the developed software to ensure it performs as required.
Engage with key business users, PMO, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify problems, analyze current system functions, and understand end-to-end
business processes, data flows, and requirements.
Effectively communicate technical and non-technical materials to the business units across multiple levels of management.
Analyze the underlying business needs that drive change requests and influence stakeholders toward effective, value-driven solutions.
Lead and facilitate interviews, workshops, and group sessions to gather business requirements for large/complex initiatives involving multiple integrated IT systems.
Translate business needs into functional system requirements, use cases, and workflow diagrams using tools such as Microsoft Visio.
Design and maintain essential documentation including requirement traceability matrices, business/functional requirement documents, change requests, user guides, and training materials.
Conduct in-depth data analysis, mapping, and documentation-including business rules, data dictionaries, and system functionality-supporting implementation, conversion, and integration efforts.
Evaluate process and technology improvement opportunities, performing feasibility analysis and recommending efficient solutions.
Collaborate with IT teams to define and validate technical solutions, assess the downstream impact of system changes, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
Assist project managers with estimating level of effort, planning activities, and facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT).
Ensure adherence to IT project lifecycle methodology and contribute to design reviews and quality assurance activities.
Perform comprehensive quality assurance and testing activities across enterprise systems, applications, and infrastructure projects.
Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements.
Conduct various types of testing-including smoke, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in test automation efforts.
Continuously assess system design, performance, and usability to identify improvement opportunities and propose enhancements.
Validate database functionality, verify queries and stored procedures, and ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
Write clear bug reports, collaborate with developers and project managers to resolve issues, and review test documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Support QA activities on processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and business needs, and partner with project managers to plan and facilitate UAT with stakeholders.
Track requirements and QA activities using application lifecycle and work management tools .
Manage small technical projects, develop project plans, and monitor project performance.
Mentor BAQA Analysts as needed.

The successful candidate will have at least 5+ years of Business Analysis experience and at least 3 years of Quality Assurance experience. Excellent written & oral communication, analytical and problem-solving skills are a must. Be naturally flexible, adaptable, proactive, & collaborative with an agile, people-oriented, innovative, and customer-centric mindset Testing experience of varying types of IT projects and a strong understanding of systems development life cycle and QA practices are essential to the position along with experience planning test strategies. Must be able to create and execute complex test plans and test scripts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, (including Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word), Power BI, CRM systems, and Azure DevOps a plus. Bachelor's in computer science, Computer Information System, or other related field is required. IT Certifications (Agile, Six Sigma, ITIL, PMI, etc.) are a plus. While the position offers a hybrid work arrangement, that candidate may be required at times to be called into on-site meetings with potentially short notice.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
