Job Summary:
The Workday Payroll Analyst is responsible for the design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of the Workday Payroll module. This role ensures that payroll processes are accurate, compliant, and aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements. The analyst partners closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to deliver seamless payroll operations and optimize system functionality through effective configuration and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Payroll configuration and functionality.
Configure and maintain payroll-related business processes, earnings, deductions, taxes, and payroll integrations within Workday.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
Support payroll processing by validating configuration, reviewing audit reports, and troubleshooting discrepancies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
Manage end-to-end testing for payroll configuration changes, Workday releases, and system enhancements.
Develop and maintain Workday reports, calculated fields, and dashboards to support payroll operations and analytics.
Monitor and resolve issues related to payroll interfaces, integrations, and third-party vendors.
Participate in Workday bi-annual release management by assessing impacts, testing changes, and implementing necessary updates.
Document configuration changes, procedures, and workflows to ensure effective knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
Provide training and support to HR and Payroll teams on Workday Payroll functionality and best practices.
