Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Software Architect IV to lead the modernization of legacy TIBCO-based systems to a modern, scalable microservices architecture using Java Spring Boot and AWS technologies. You will join a critical team focused on managing large-scale outages and disaster scenarios - processing millions of notifications within hours during major events like hurricanes.
This role is perfect for someone with hands-on experience architecting high-throughput, event-driven, middleware systems, with strong familiarity across Java microservices, AWS, and data pipelines.

This role is perfect for someone with hands-on experience architecting high-throughput, event-driven, middleware systems, with strong familiarity across Java microservices, AWS, and data pipelines.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural strategy and hands-on migration of TIBCO-based systems to Java Spring Boot microservices.
- Analyze existing workflows, integrations, and services for efficient redesign and migration.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-availability backend systems.
- Drive development best practices, performance tuning, and high-reliability standards.
- Mentor development teams and perform architectural code reviews.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps to define CI/CD pipelines and deployment patterns.
- Oversee development of middleware APIs and ensure seamless post-migration functionality.
Required Experience:
- 10+ years in enterprise Java development, with emphasis on architectural leadership.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Experience migrating from TIBCO (BusinessWorks, EMS) or similar middleware platforms.
- Deep understanding of high-throughput systems and event/message-driven designs.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar message brokers.
- Proficient in SQL/NoSQL databases, API gateways, and cloud-native development.
