Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Des Moines, Iowa. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate within an agile environment, driving impactful projects while providing strategic guidance to business stakeholders. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting and is eager to contribute to meaningful solutions within the government sector.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research and surveys to gather data, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions based on specialized knowledge and expertise.
Provide strategic advice to clients or department heads, offering alternative solutions or recommending specific approaches to address business needs.
Collaborate within an agile framework to ensure value delivery and adapt swiftly to achieve optimal outcomes.
Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, including functional, non-functional, and regression testing, while facilitating User Acceptance Testing with end users.
Foster close collaboration with IT teams to ensure smooth project execution and successful completion.
Coordinate all IT-related activities to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements
Proven ability to document, analyze, and propose process improvements or re-engineering solutions based on technical and business insights.
Experience contributing to agile software delivery teams and understanding iterative development processes.
Strong organizational skills to manage time constraints, shifting priorities, and independent tasks effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Familiarity with QA testing processes, both manual and automated, to support test case development and execution.
Knowledge of industry trends and the ability to present technical solutions that align with business objectives.
Expertise in analyzing business strategies and user needs, translating them into detailed system requirements.
Ability to guide business stakeholders through case development for new applications, including cost-benefit and risk-impact analysis.
