Job Summary

 

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Automation Architect with deep expertise in infrastructure setup, enterprise security, automation frameworks, and system integration. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage virtual machines, firewall policies, group policies, API integrations, proxy configurations, and CI/CD pipelines while leading the optimization and troubleshooting of enterprise automation workflows.

 

This role requires strong problem-solving capabilities to investigate and resolve issues related to system performance, automation execution, network connectivity, and application access, while ensuring strict compliance with security and regulatory frameworks.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Infrastructure Setup & Security Management
  • Set up and manage Virtual Machines (VMs) to support automation and development environments with optimal performance and security.
  • Configure, enforce, and troubleshoot Group Policies (GPO) to manage user access, security, and compliance.
  • Define, request, and manage firewall bypass policies while maintaining security best practices.
  • Work with proxy configurations and network teams to ensure automation tools securely connect to required systems and APIs.
  • Manage Port Open Requests (POR) by coordinating with security and network teams.
  • Monitor and resolve performance bottlenecks, including email client slowness (Outlook/MAPI), network latency, and application response issues.
  • Automation Deployment & Execution
  • Deploy and configure enterprise automation solutions ensuring compatibility with infrastructure components.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot automation failures caused by GPO, firewall, proxy, or API restrictions.
  • Implement best practices for logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Optimize automation workflows to enhance performance, minimize downtime, and improve maintainability.
  • Ensure compliance with SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and cybersecurity policies.
  • Solution Design & System Integration
  • Develop and document end-to-end solution architectures focusing on security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Design secure API integrations using OAuth, SAML, and API key-based authentication.
  • Partner with architects and security teams to define network configurations, encryption strategies, and secure connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot API access issues including authentication failures, rate limits, and unexpected responses.
  • Version Control & CI/CD Implementation
  • Set up and manage Git, Bitbucket, or GitHub for tracking automation and infrastructure changes.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to enable secure and automated deployments.
  • Manage rollback and recovery strategies to ensure minimal production impact.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Engage with cross-functional teams (Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, Automation).
  • Present architectural designs and security recommendations to Architecture Review Boards.
  • Independently drive problem resolution by researching system issues and coordinating with relevant teams.
  • Lead discussions on Network/System Access Requests (NsAR), automation change approvals, and compliance reviews.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, automation, and enterprise architecture.
  • Expertise in VM setup, security configurations, and performance optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of GPO, firewall rules, proxy configurations, and network security.
  • Experience handling Port Open Requests (POR) and network access issues.
  • Proficiency in API integration, OAuth, API keys, and troubleshooting API errors.
  • Hands-on experience with Git/Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for automation failures, email client issues, and network connectivity problems.
  • Experience with SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and security risk assessments.
  • Strong communication skills to present solutions to executives and Architecture Review Boards.

 

Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory)

 

  • ITIL / PMP / CISSP / Cloud certifications or other relevant infrastructure and security certifications.
