Business Intelligence Analyst Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Business Intelligence Analyst for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be a year with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Purpose of the Team: The team handles power planning, focusing on supply and demand matching. This involves identifying shortages and excesses and taking actions to address these issues. The team emphasizes problem-solving, root cause analysis, and providing solutions to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Key Projects: We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Supply Chain Analytics Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing supply chain performance through proactive problem-solving, robust data analysis, and a relentless focus on continuous improvement.
- Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm: The role consists of 25% meetings, 25% data analysis, 25% self-driven tasks, and 25% system/heads-down work.

Take full ownership of supply chain analytics projects, from initial analysis through implementation and follow-up.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve complex supply chain issues by applying strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Analyze large data sets using advanced Excel functions, SQL queries, and Power BI dashboards to extract actionable insights.
- Monitor, manage, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize planning versus actualization, support cumulative planning, and enhance information flow.
- Drive issues to closure with a strong sense of accountability and commitment to delivering results.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and see projects through to completion.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data visualization).
- Basic working knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data.
- Experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes, including planning vs. actualization, cumulative planning, and information flow.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present analytical findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Proactiveness and learning acumen, along with a passion for data analytics, testing, and process improvement.
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years of overall experience in the field.
- Degrees or Certifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
- Best vs. Average: Experience in supply chain operations and high proficiency with the necessary technical tools.
- Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines, data metrics, KPIs, quality of work, and team feedback.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Power BI.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Excel - data analysis, VLOOKUP, pivot tables.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL.
