Maintenance Lead

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a resource for a 4-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.

Compensation: $41.00 per hour

Position Overview:
The Maintenance Working Lead is a hands-on leadership position that directly participates in maintenance activities while overseeing operations within our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role combines active technical work with team leadership responsibilities, ensuring equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. As a working lead, you will both perform maintenance tasks and supervise a team of maintenance technicians in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Actively perform hands-on maintenance work as a primary function of the position.
• Lead by example, demonstrating proper maintenance techniques and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems personally.
• Work alongside team members on challenging technical issues and emergency situations.
• Provide direct technical expertise and immediate on-the-job training.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of maintenance technicians while remaining a working member of the team.
• Develop work schedules and assign tasks, including yourself in the rotation of duties.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members through direct demonstration and coaching.
• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss projects, safety concerns, and operational improvements.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience as a Maintenance Lead experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
• Attended schooling for their listed trade (electrical, plumber, or HVAC)
• HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing license
• Familiar with building systems, documentation, and administration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
• Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
• Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
