Job Description:
  • The Domain Architect will lead architecture initiatives for AI projects/products, ensuring alignment across architecture domains and IT strategies.
  • This role involves designing, modeling, and implementing architecture patterns, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining architecture frameworks and tools.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare domain architecture viewpoints and models depicting current, target, and interim states.
  • Use current state viewpoints to identify and analyze pain points and opportunities (PPOs).
  • Perform advanced modeling and analysis to meet strategic organizational needs with respect to system, information, functional/non-functional requirements, performance, and security/regulatory compliance.
  • Create and utilize architecture patterns and ensure alignment with IT strategies and reference architectures.
  • Ensure target state alignment and integration across architecture domains.
  • Ensure upstream traceability to business needs via business architecture and downstream traceability with solution building blocks.
  • Lead the extension and enhancement of domain architecture strategies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Identify and support the development of reusable domain patterns.
  • Collaborate on creation, design, engineering, and implementation of assets for internal use in solutions to improve solution quality.
  • Support peer reviews and represent the architecture domain in briefings to the Architecture Review Board.
  • Collaborate on publishing and maintenance of viewpoints and work products in the architecture repository, ensuring they are organized, accurate, and accessible.
  • Disposition stakeholder comments and feedback received via project and non-project channels.
  • Ensure that regulatory and compliance issues are addressed in solutions.
  • Collaborate with other teams, key stakeholders, and partners to understand needs to maximize architecture impact and address technical limitations.
  • Evaluate and select solution/product designs that align with IT/domain strategies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Research emerging domain trends to determine their relevancy and fit for the organization.
  • Participate in vendor evaluation and selection processes; facilitate vendor evaluation and selection for domain-specific tooling.
  • Represent the architecture domain in drafting RFIs/RFPs and evaluating/scoring vendor proposals.
  • Perform development and enhancement of architecture domain methods and tools.
  • Ensure alignment and integration of domain architecture processes/deliverables with other architecture domains and SDLC disciplines.
  • Develop domain-related communications and educational material for stakeholders and architecture/SDLC partners.
  • Lead domain assessment of new or proposed projects for architecture impacts in support of annual planning, resource estimation, and alignment with IT strategy and enterprise architecture.
  • Provide input to project, product, and enterprise technology roadmaps.
  • Provide regular reporting on progress, issues, and opportunities related to the architecture domain.
Qualifications:
  • Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years in architecture domain leading architecture initiatives for AI projects/products.
  • In Lieu of Education: In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree; experience in 2 3 different architecture domains.

  • Ability to design AI solutions leveraging AWS services and tech stack.
  • Ability to motivate and influence others to meet project objectives in a timely manner.
  • Advanced ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop high-quality solutions.
  • Advanced ability to coach, delegate, and develop team members.
  • Advanced proficiency in managing cross-domain architecture solutions and impacts.
  • Expert knowledge of domain-related architecture frameworks, methods, and tools.
  • Expert organizational, interpersonal, analytical, written/verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Certified System Architect upon hire.
