Sr. Systems Analyst - IBM i / Supply Chain Applications (Remote, EST Hours)


Location: Remote - USA


Must work Eastern Time hours, 8 AM - 5 PM, Occasional on-call support 24x7


Contract Type: W2 with Health Benefits (Enhanced benefits with PTO available)


Duration: 12 Months, possible extension


About the Role:


We're seeking a highly skilled Sr. Systems Analyst with expertise in IBM i (AS/400) and supply chain systems integration. In this role, you'll support and enhance enterprise-level planning and distribution data systems for a global life sciences organization. This is a unique opportunity for someone who understands legacy ERP environments and has a deep appreciation for supply chain data flows, demand/supply planning, and data warehouse operations.


What You'll Do:



  • Support, maintain, and improve Blue Yonder (or similar) applications and the Global Planning Data Warehouse on the IBM i platform

  • Write, troubleshoot, and maintain code in RPGLE, CL, COBOL, and SQL

  • Design and maintain system interfaces using FTP and batch job scheduling tools

  • Collaborate with global business users and IT teams to resolve issues and deliver solutions for supply chain planning and lot traceability

  • Support Oracle ERP integrations, including data flows and validation

  • Perform functional testing, validation scripting, and documentation

  • Participate in on-call production support and issue resolution (rotating schedule)

  • Contribute to technical and operational improvements within a regulated (Life Sciences) environment


What You Bring:



  • 5+ years of experience with IBM i / AS400

  • Solid programming skills in RPGLE, CL, Cobol, and SQL scripting

  • Experience supporting/managing supply chain applications (Manugistics, JDA, Blue Yonder, Oracle EBS/ERP, etc.)

  • Familiarity with DW structures, data workflows, and batch processing

  • Comfortable working in a formal SDLC/change control environment

  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills


Nice to Have:



  • Experience with FTP, SEE/Change, Robot product suite

  • Familiarity with Oracle databases, shell scripting, and Linux tools

  • Prior exposure to life sciences, medical device manufacturing, or similar regulated industries
